With growing insecurity around the world, nations continue to move ahead in their quest for modern weapons. Innovations in the field of weaponry continue to amaze us. Metal Storm has developed the world’s most powerful weapon that fires bullets at a great speed and with utmost accuracy. The most important feature of the gun is that it has only one moving part. The bullets are preloaded in the barrel and lined up one behind the other which makes faster firing possible. The bullets are fired using electronic ignition system and at the touch of a button electrical signals are sent down the barrel to the bullet. The bullet is then ignited and fired. Since it works electronically, no jamming problem occurs in the gun. It can also be used to fire grenades at a very high speed. Sensors in the gun can be used to provide “situational awareness” feedback and valuable intelligence to battlefield commanders.
