Summary
One question that has bothered humans around the world for centuries is that are we humans alone in this universe? Many scientists and researchers around the world have attempted to answer this question in their own way. Dr.Jill Tarter, a leading personality in the field of alien intelligence and also the Director of Center for SETI Research, has been active in this field for the last 40 years. She and her colleagues have studied at least 1000 solar systems. The Center for SETI Research has also setup an ultra modern Telescope system that will hunt for signals from other planets. It is called the New Allen Telescope Array after Paul Allen from Microsoft. The Allen Telescope Array will eventually consist of 350 dishes and together they will operate as a single virtual dish. It will be possible to look at more than one star at once since the field of view is much larger than a conventional telescope. It will also be able to capture millions of frequencies from multiple star systems simultaneously.
