Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation
Summary
The brain is the most complex organ in the human body. Scientists at the Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience are working on the brain to understand and find better ways as to how people might recover from stroke, migraines and other brain damages. They are experimenting with an electrical and magnetic brain stimulation technique. This technique involves “turning off” or deactivating select parts of the human brain and observing the effects that it has on the brain. It was tested on Roger Heifield, science editor of the DailyTelegraph.
